Biodynamic Massage Practitioner and Scaravelli Inspired Yoga Teacher
Emma is a qualified Biodynamic Massage Practitioner and Trainee Psychotherapist. The technique she uses was developed by Gerda Boysen in 1968 and it’s a Psychotherapeutic form of massage, which integrates the body and mind and encourages self healing.
Biodynamic Massage works well for anyone who is experiencing stress related symptoms. This could include; anxiety, low mood, poor sleep, aches and pains, digestive problem, depression, headaches.
Biodynamic Massage aims to rebalance the nervous system and reduce the impact of the stress related symptoms.
Unique to biodynamic massage is the use of a stethoscope to monitor the sounds of the digestive system. The sounds help to guide the Practitioner to decide the best type of massage for the client and what the body needs.
Emma is also a Scaravelli inspired yoga teacher who works with 1:1 clients. She has been teaching for 5 years and trained at Morley College for an Advanced BTEC Diploma In Yoga Teaching and Anatomy and Physiology. The principals of this way of teaching yoga are; lengthening the spine, working with gravity and working with the breath.
The focus of her yoga teaching is rebalancing the body and working with the seasons to ensure that the body can harmonise. In autumn and winter with the change of temperature and increasing hours of darkness impacts on the mood and body, so she used postures that support the body through these seasons
In the spring and summer it’s about trying new poses and attitudes and working with more light and energy.
