Carey’s interest in physical therapies was ignited following a repeat ligament sprain in her ankle. Recovery of the injury was much faster the second time after having a course of physical therapies, compared to the first time when the injury was left to heal without any treatment intervention. This inspired her to train as a Massage therapist and attained a degree level qualification in Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage the highest massage qualification in the UK.

She became interested in Colon Hydrotherapy and Nutrition due to her own experience of suffering from severe eczema since childhood. Initially, she had been prescribed pharmaceutical medications by her GP but it only worked for short periods, and then it stopped working. As a result of having colon hydrotherapy, taking appropriate natural supplements and making gradual lifestyle changes, as part of her own healing process for eczema, and there has been a significant long-term improvement to her condition, which she found very empowering. The outcome was she trained as a Colon Hydrotherapist in 2008.

Being passionate about her work, she always keeps up-to-date with current research as part of her ongoing professional development. Carey, being a highly experienced professional therapist with a warm and caring approach, gives you the assurance that you are in a safe and friendly environment.

Carey has also trained in a number of other nutritional healing methods and techniques including:

  • A Diploma and then Degree in Nutritional Therapy from the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition and the University of West London.

  • Natural Chef

About Your Treatment

Where appropriate during the colon hydrotherapy session, Carey applies gentle Abdominal massage and uses specific Reflexology and acupressure points to help you feel relaxed, and assists with the elimination. She may recommend Herbal enema implants or coffee depending on the needs of the client and to enhance the detoxification process.

Through study, personal experience and working with a wide client base, Carey fully understands the fundamental importance of gut health which is central to overall health. She takes a functional medicine approach, by addressing the underlying causes of an individual’s symptoms. She helps her clients to get to the core of their health challenges based on their individual needs and lifestyles. Carey has seen time after time how colonics have helped to rebalance the digestive system to bring equilibrium and a sensation of well-being to her clients.
