Ermina is an Evidence Based Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist with a BA in Psychology. Her focus and specialty is in helping individuals, groups and organisations achieve a positive change through the rewiring of neural pathways with the help of hypnotherapy and mental imagery therapy.

Through scientifically proven motivational intervention that teaches self-motivating skills Ermina uses guided mental imagery in conjunction with CBT, hypnotherapy and talking therapy, to rewire neural pathways and help individuals live a happier life.

"The images we create about our bodies, our physical senses, our potential or our challenges shape our life. We know from a large body of research that our brains respond to engaging vivid imagery almost as if we are having the “real” experience. In fact our mind 90% of the time doesn't know the difference between imagination and reality, hence why we are frightened and react with an increase heart rate while watching a horror movie or when we imagine that we are biting in to a lemon we start to salivate. Through guided mental imagery we can rewire the neural pathways to help us achieve our goals and overcome obstacles.

Guided mental imagery or guided visualisation helps with choosing new outcomes for oneself and cope better with stressful or challenging situations. Guided imagery (sometimes called guided visualisation  mental rehearsal and guided self-hypnosis) is a gentle but powerful technique that focuses the imagination in proactive, positive ways. Hypnotherapy is used to complement and reinforce the new behaviour, feeling or thought patterns in conjunction with CBT. " Ermina Isanovic

Qualifications: BA in Psychology and Evidence Based Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy

All practitioners at the Light Centre are self-employed. When making bookings, customers are contracting with them directly and not with the Centre. As a result, practitioners manage their own diaries, so please book with them directly.
