James' work centres around helping his clients address and understand the root causes of pain and tension, correcting dysfunctional movement patterns and postural habits as well as addressing any anxieties that individuals might have about exercise and movement.
Rehabilitation programmes combine postural assessment, sports massage and individualised exercise programmes for clients suffering from a range of muscular - skeletal conditions including scoliosis, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, sciatic pain, tendonitis and migraines and headaches.
James has qualifications in both Thai and Sports Massage from Bali International Spa Academy. He has also acquired his Level 3 and 4 Sport Massage Therapy from the Cotswold Academy, Cirencester. He has also undertaken Myofascial Cupping and Kinesiology Taping Courses. James has also undertaken a 200 hour Gymnastic Strength Instructor Training course.
James has a love of movement including weight training, adult gymnastics, slack lining and wake boarding. He has also enjoyed free diving in Thailand and snowboarding in Portes du Soleil in the French Alps, where he worked as a ski guide. He currently teaches handstands and gymnastic rings in the Cotswolds alongside the mechanics of movement for rehabilitation, injury prevention and training enhancement. He regularly teaches the deconstruction of yoga asanas, for the enhancement and better understanding of postures.
All practitioners at the Light Centre are self-employed. When making bookings, customers are contracting with them directly and not with the Centre. As a result, practitioners manage their own diaries, so please book with them directly.
