Tessa provides sensitive and compassionate counselling to men and women struggling with issues related to modern day life.
It often goes unacknowledged that modern day living and loving is challenging and complex. Tessa can help you navigate your way through difficult times, overcome personal roadblocks, and deal with the daily struggles of life.
Tessa works in a way that is transpersonal and integrative. This means that she will draw from different psychological approaches to help you explore in depth the issues that you bring, whilst encouraging you to consider that there is more to you than these issues. This usually involves looking at your past and present experiences in addition to future aspirations. She may also incorporate exploration of life meaning, purpose, and spiritual growth.
Outside of her counselling practice, Tessa works as a yoga teacher. This often gets brought into the therapy room, by drawing your attention to the interconnectedness of body, mind, emotions and spirit and of the necessity for healing on each of these levels. Tessa also has a strong understanding of both the positive and negative aspects of a yoga practice on wellbeing.
Through working together, Tessa will assist you in finding a way to connect with the meaning that may be found through your experiences and the potential that is innate within you, to help bring you closer to the growth and positive change necessary to maintain a fulfilling life.
